Letter From Philanthropy Vice President

My name is Kiarra Clark and I am the current Philanthropy Vice President of the Theta Alpha chapter of Alpha Xi Delta. I am a junior dual Special Education and Early Childhood Education major! Since I joined I have always had an interest in philanthropy, I knew it was something I wanted to help with and hold positions within. At the end of my first semester in Alpha Xi Delta, I picked up the position of Community Service Director. I continued to hold this position for 3 more semesters. Through this position I worked alongside the Philanthropy Vice President in planning various events and community service opportunities for our sisters. I also was elected to be the Vice President of Philanthropy for the National Panhellenic Council. Through both of these positions, I have gained so much experience and an even greater love for our philanthropy. This has been such a rewarding experience and I am so grateful for my time so far. I am so excited to work alongside my team to fundraise and bring awareness to others about foster care and homelessness.

Our chapter’s local impact organization is Pressley Ridge, in Lancaster, PA. Pressley Ridge empowers children to develop to their full potential by providing a variety of services and supports. Some of these services include foster care and adoption, community-based and in-home services, specialized education, supportive services for transition-age youth, and many more. The Theta Alpha Chapter hopes that bringing awareness and fundraising for this cause will help make a difference in these children’s lives.

We are proud to announce that at our 6th annual Xingo we raised over $10,000 for Pressley Ridge! This is our biggest turnout yet and we are excited to keep growing over the years. Thank you to everyone who came and supported our philanthropy.
